Does Craters & Freighters have any effective determinations from the United States Copyright Office regarding its Copyrighted Works?

According to Craters & Freighters's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there are no effective determinations from the United States Copyright Office regarding any of Craters & Freighters's Copyrighted Works. Additionally, there are no pending proceedings, nor are there any currently effective agreements between Craters & Freighters and third parties pertaining to the Copyrighted Works that will or may significantly limit a franchisee's use of Craters & Freighters's Copyrighted Works.

This means that as of the FDD date, Craters & Freighters has not had any legal challenges or rulings concerning its copyrighted materials that would impact a franchisee's ability to use them. A franchisee can generally use the copyrighted materials as intended for operating their Craters & Freighters franchise without immediate concern for legal restrictions or third-party interference based on existing determinations or agreements.

However, Craters & Freighters claims common law and federal copyrights in its Operations Manuals, trademarks, website, computer software programs, and advertising materials, even without formal copyright registration. Craters & Freighters retains sole ownership of these copyrights, granting franchisees the right to use them specifically for their franchised business. Franchisees must also notify Craters & Freighters within three days of learning about potential copyright infringements or challenges to their use of Craters & Freighters's copyrighted materials.

Craters & Freighters will then take action it deems appropriate to protect its rights, but is not required to take any action. Franchisees are prohibited from contesting Craters & Freighters's rights to its Copyrighted Works and must cooperate with Craters & Freighters in any legal proceedings related to these materials.
