Can I use Crab N Spice's copyrighted materials for purposes other than my franchised business?

According to the 2024 Crab N Spice Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are explicitly restricted from engaging in any activity at the franchised location other than the operation of the Crab N Spice business. Furthermore, if the franchisee is an entity, it is prohibited from owning or operating any other business except for other Crab N Spice businesses. This indicates a clear restriction on using the franchise's resources, including copyrighted materials, for purposes outside the scope of the franchised business.

Crab N Spice also requires franchisees to obtain prior written approval before making any public statements regarding the brand or business, or associating the business with any external organization through donations or support. These requirements further emphasize that the copyrighted materials and brand assets are solely for the operation of the franchised Crab N Spice business and cannot be used for any other purpose, especially after the franchise agreement ends.
