What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Crab N Spice FDD, the general manager must complete the initial training program. The franchisee's business must be under the on-site supervision of either the franchisee or a general manager who has completed Crab N Spice's training program. If a new general manager needs to attend the training program, Crab N Spice charges a fee, which is currently $250.
The training classes are scheduled based on the needs of new franchisees, and Crab N Spice anticipates holding them once per month at the site of the proposed location. The franchisor reserves the right to change the length and content of the initial training program based on the attendee's experience and skill level.
The training program includes the Operating Manual and other materials, lectures, discussions, and on-the-job demonstration and practice. Marlon Arsenal, who has experience in the industry and with the Crab N Spice brand since 2015, leads or supervises the training classes. The franchisee must ensure that they or their general manager complete the training to Crab N Spice's satisfaction at least four weeks before opening the business.
