What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Crab N Spice Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for covering the travel and living expenses for individuals attending the initial training program. Crab N Spice offers training classes, typically held monthly at the site of the proposed location. While there is no fee for up to two people to attend the training, the franchisee must bear the costs associated with travel and accommodation for themselves and their staff.

Both the franchisee and the manager are required to attend the training program. The franchisee has the option to send additional personnel to the training, up to a maximum number, but they will be responsible for all associated costs. Completing the training to Crab N Spice's satisfaction is mandatory at least four weeks before the restaurant opens.

If a new general manager needs to attend the training program, Crab N Spice will charge a fee of $250. While additional training programs or refresher courses are not currently required, Crab N Spice retains the right to implement them in the future. This means that franchisees should factor in potential future training costs for themselves and their staff when budgeting for the franchise.
