What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Crab N Spice's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is solely responsible for all hiring decisions and conditions of employment. While Crab N Spice provides suggested staffing levels and guidelines for hiring, as well as operational instructions in the manual for training new employees, the ultimate responsibility rests with the franchisee.
This means that a prospective Crab N Spice franchisee has complete control over who they hire, the terms of their employment, and how they manage their staff. This autonomy allows the franchisee to tailor their staffing to the specific needs of their location and business strategy.
However, it also means that the franchisee bears all the risks and liabilities associated with employment, including compliance with labor laws, managing employee relations, and handling any potential legal issues. Franchisees should ensure they understand their obligations as employers and seek appropriate legal and HR advice.
