Is a Crab N Spice franchisee required to disclose Innovations to CNS Franchising?

According to the 2024 Crab N Spice Franchise Disclosure Document, Crab N Spice franchisees are required to disclose any innovations related to the business to CNS Franchising. These innovations encompass all ideas, plans, improvements, concepts, methods, and techniques pertaining to the Crab N Spice business that the franchisee, its employees, agents, or contractors conceive or develop.

CNS Franchising automatically owns all disclosed innovations. They have the right to incorporate these innovations into the Crab N Spice system without providing any compensation to the franchisee. This means that any improvements or new ideas a franchisee develops for their Crab N Spice location become the property of the franchisor, which can then implement them across the entire franchise system.
