What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Cr3 American Exteriors's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee of $40,000 is refundable under specific conditions. Cr3 American Exteriors will refund the initial franchise fee if they do not approve a prospective franchisee's application or if the franchisee does not pass the initial training, provided that all training materials are returned.

However, once Cr3 American Exteriors has completed its obligation to provide initial training and the franchisee has successfully completed the training, the initial franchise fee is considered fully earned and becomes non-refundable. This is a common practice in franchising, as the fee compensates the franchisor for the time, resources, and knowledge transferred during the initial training period.

Therefore, a prospective Cr3 American Exteriors franchisee should understand that the refund is contingent upon either the franchisor not approving their application or the franchisee's inability to successfully complete the initial training. After these conditions are met, the franchisee cannot get the initial fee refunded.
