What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cr3 American Exteriors's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Cr3 American Exteriors may, at its sole discretion, offer financing to franchisees. This financing can cover all or a portion of the initial franchise fee, potentially up to 100% of it. The interest rate is set at 12% per annum, inclusive of finance charges, with the repayment period varying.
To secure the financing, Cr3 American Exteriors requires a security interest in the franchised business, including all accounts, equipment, furniture, assets, and earnings from any financial services business. Additionally, if the franchisee is a corporation, each officer and shareholder must execute a personal guarantee, making them personally and jointly liable for the repayment of the note. There is no prepayment penalty.
Upon default, the franchisee faces accelerated obligation to pay the entire amount due, covering Cr3 American Exteriors's court costs and attorney fees incurred in collecting the debt, and potential termination of the franchise agreement. The franchisee must also waive the right to a jury trial, homestead and other exemptions, and rights related to presentment, demand, protest, and notice of dishonor. Cr3 American Exteriors does not intend to sell, assign, or factor the debt to a third party. Cr3 American Exteriors receives no consideration for the placement of financing.
