What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cr3 American Exteriors's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees can acquire computer hardware from any vendor, provided the system meets Cr3 American Exteriors's requirements. The franchisee is responsible for the acquisition, operation, maintenance, and upgrades of the computer system.
Cr3 American Exteriors retains the right to modify the computer system at any time and can mandate that franchisees update their systems accordingly. There are no contractual limits on how frequently or costly these required updates may be, and Cr3 American Exteriors is not obligated to reimburse franchisees for costs incurred due to changes in the computer system. The estimated cost for the computer system and other equipment is up to $3,000.
The FDD specifies that a franchisee will need an e-mail account, a computer with internet access, and a printer to operate the franchise. The computer system will be used to solicit clients, manage scheduling, and manage the franchised business. Franchisees must secure and safeguard all data relating to business clients, vendors, and transactions stored on the computer. The franchisee must use a Windows compatible computer with high-speed internet access and video conferencing capabilities.
Cr3 American Exteriors requires independent access to the information generated or stored in the franchisee's computer systems, including customer, transaction, and operational information. Franchisees must provide unrestricted electronic access to these systems and this information at all times. Cr3 American Exteriors has the right to review business operations and inspect records in person, by mail, or electronically. If Cr3 American Exteriors requests copies of business records, the franchisee must provide them at their own expense within five business days.
