What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Counselor Realty's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Website Set Up Fee is intended to cover the costs incurred by Counselor Realty in setting up a webpage for the franchisee's office on Counselor Realty's website. This fee applies to the initial office webpage setup, as well as separate webpages or subdomains for any Additional Office or Extension Office locations, if the franchisee elects to have them.

In practical terms, this means that a new Counselor Realty franchisee will need to pay a one-time fee to have their office's webpage created and launched. The exact amount of this fee is not a fixed sum but rather is based on the actual costs that Counselor Realty incurs during the setup process. If the franchisee operates multiple office locations (Additional or Extension Offices) and wants a separate online presence for each, they will incur additional Website Set Up Fees for each location.

This fee structure is fairly common in franchising, where franchisors often charge initial fees to cover the costs of providing essential setup services. It is important for prospective franchisees to understand that this is a one-time fee, separate from any ongoing monthly website fees. Franchisees should inquire about the typical range of costs for the Website Set Up Fee to better prepare for this initial investment. Additionally, franchisees should clarify what services are included in the website setup to ensure it meets their business needs.
