What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Counselor Realty's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the travel, living, and incidental expenses for training could be $0 if neither the franchisee and their employees nor Counselor Realty's trainers have to travel to attend the training. This implies that the training would need to be held at a location that is local to both the franchisee and the trainers, or potentially conducted remotely.
This is a potentially beneficial scenario for a new Counselor Realty franchisee, as it would eliminate the costs associated with travel, accommodation, and other incidental expenses. These costs can otherwise range up to $750 per person per day, so avoiding travel could result in significant savings.
However, the FDD also states that the exact amount of fees and costs are unknown and may vary depending upon factors, such as third-party vendors selected. This suggests that even if travel is not required, there may be other variable costs associated with the training. It is important for prospective franchisees to discuss training locations and options with Counselor Realty to understand the potential costs involved.
