What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Counselor Realty's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there is no specified limit to the amount of supplemental training that Counselor Realty will provide. The FDD states that at a franchisee's request, Counselor Realty will provide supplemental initial and/or ongoing training for the franchisee and/or their key personnel at a Counselor Realty office or other designated location, at any mutually convenient time.
However, franchisees are responsible for covering the costs associated with this training. Counselor Realty charges a fee of $175 per trainer per hour for training, including initial training. Additionally, the franchisee must cover all travel, living, and incidental expenses for themselves, their employees, and Counselor Realty's trainers. These expenses could range from $0 to $750 per person per day, depending on travel requirements and other factors.
Prospective franchisees should consider these costs when budgeting for ongoing training and development. While the FDD does not explicitly limit the amount of training available, the associated expenses could effectively limit the amount of training a franchisee chooses to undertake. It would be prudent for a prospective franchisee to discuss typical supplemental training programs and associated costs with existing franchisees during their due diligence.
