. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Counselor Realty's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the method of payment for the Website Fee is not explicitly detailed. However, the FDD does state that at the beginning of each month, Counselor Realty will send an invoice for the amount of the Website Fee owed for the current month. The franchisee must then pay the amount of such Website Fee on or before the 20th day of such month. This suggests that Counselor Realty uses an invoicing system for collecting the Website Fee.
While the FDD specifies the timing of invoicing and payment deadlines, it does not provide specific details on acceptable payment methods (e.g., check, electronic transfer, credit card). It is common for franchisors to accept a variety of payment methods for fees, but the specific options can vary.
A prospective Counselor Realty franchisee should clarify the acceptable payment methods for the Website Fee and other fees with the franchisor during their due diligence. Understanding the available payment options and any associated processing fees is essential for managing cash flow and budgeting effectively. Additionally, franchisees should inquire about any potential discounts or incentives for using specific payment methods.
