What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Counselor Realty's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Item 6 outlines various fees, including those associated with training. While Counselor Realty offers initial and supplemental training, the FDD does not specify the content of this training. The amount of initial training is determined by Counselor Realty.
The FDD states that training, including initial training, is available at a fee of $175 per trainer per hour. This training can take place at a Counselor Realty office or another designated location, scheduled at a mutually convenient time. In addition to the hourly fee, franchisees are responsible for covering all travel, living, and incidental expenses for themselves, their employees, and the Counselor Realty trainers. These expenses are estimated to range from $0 to $750 per person per day, depending on travel requirements and other factors.
Prospective franchisees should note that these training fees and associated costs are payable when billed. Franchisees and their employees will not receive any compensation from Counselor Realty during the training period. Given the lack of detail regarding the training content in Item 6, it is crucial for potential franchisees to inquire directly with Counselor Realty about the specific topics covered in both the initial and supplemental training programs to fully understand the value and scope of the training provided.
