What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Counselor Realty's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for covering the travel, living, and incidental expenses incurred by Counselor Realty trainers in connection with training. In addition to paying a training fee of $175 per trainer per hour, franchisees must also budget for these additional costs. Counselor Realty estimates these expenses could range from $0 to $750 per person per day, depending on factors such as travel distance and vendor selection.
This means that a Counselor Realty franchisee needs to factor in not only the hourly training fee but also the potential costs of lodging, meals, and transportation for the trainers. The $0 estimate applies if no travel is required, suggesting that some training may be conducted remotely or at the franchisee's location without travel for the trainers. However, the high-end estimate of $750 per person per day could significantly increase the overall cost of training, especially for multiple trainers or extended training periods.
Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these potential expenses when evaluating the financial feasibility of a Counselor Realty franchise. It would be prudent to discuss with Counselor Realty the typical duration and location of training programs to better estimate these travel-related costs. Understanding the factors that influence these costs, such as the number of trainers required and the location of the training, will help in creating a more accurate financial projection. Franchisees should also inquire whether there are ways to mitigate these costs, such as utilizing local accommodations or transportation options.
