11. FRANCHISOR'S ASSISTANCE, ADVERTISING, COMPUTER SYSTEMS AND TRAINING
Except as listed below, Counselor is not obligated to provide any assistance to you.
Before you open your Business, Counselor will provide you the services described below.
a. At your request, Counselor will provide you and up to two of your key personnel initial training. The amount of such initial training, if requested, will be as determined by Counselor, but will typically consist of the following:

At your request, Counselor will provide you and/or your key personnel supplemental initial and/or ongoing training in various aspects of establishing and operating your Business. Franchise Agreement, Section 6.1. Counselor's Franchise Chairperson will coordinate training at a "Counselor" office designated by Counselor, at any mutually convenient time. See Item 2 for information on the business experience of the Franchise Chairperson. Training may be conducted or assisted by other members of Counselor's staff. The length of supplemental training varies, depending on the subject matter and your training needs. Counselor will schedule training at any mutually convenient time, subject to the availability of trainers. You must pay Counselor a fee of $175 per trainer per hour for providing training (including initial training). See Item 6. You must pay all travel, living and incidental expenses you and your employees, and Counselor's trainers, incur in connection with training. Counselor will not pay you during training.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Counselor Realty's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, initial training is not mandatory but is provided at the franchisee's request. Counselor Realty will provide initial training to the franchisee and up to two key personnel if requested. The extent of this initial training is determined by Counselor Realty.
Supplemental initial and ongoing training is also available at the franchisee's request. This training covers various aspects of establishing and operating the business. The Franchise Chairperson coordinates the training at a Counselor Realty office designated by Counselor Realty, scheduled at a mutually convenient time. The length of the supplemental training varies based on the subject matter and the franchisee's training needs.
For any training, including initial training, the franchisee must pay Counselor Realty a fee of $175 per trainer per hour. Additionally, the franchisee is responsible for covering all travel, living, and incidental expenses incurred by themselves, their employees, and Counselor Realty's trainers in connection with the training. Franchisees will not be compensated by Counselor Realty during the training period.
