What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Counselor Realty's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Regional Advertising Fund is established if a franchisee's office is located outside the Twin Cities metropolitan area. If a Regional Advertising Group is established, franchisees must become members and pay an advertising fee. This fee is set at $25 per agent per month for each agent operating out of the office, additional office, or extension office in that geographical area.
The purpose of this fund is to support regional advertising efforts, managed by a Regional Advertising Committee. The amount of advertising fees can be increased during the franchise term by a majority vote of this committee. These advertising fees are nonrefundable and uniformly imposed among franchisee-owned Counselor Realty offices.
It's important to note that Counselor Realty offices owned and operated directly by the company contribute to marketing activities under a different formula and are not required to pay the specific advertising fees outlined for the Regional Advertising Group. This distinction highlights a different financial structure for company-owned versus franchisee-owned locations regarding advertising contributions.
