According to Counselor Realty's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, initial training is provided to franchisees and up to two key personnel at their request. The amount of initial training is determined by Counselor Realty. This training occurs at a Counselor Realty office or another location designated by Counselor Realty, scheduled at a mutually convenient time.
While Counselor Realty offers initial training, it's important to note that franchisees are responsible for covering the costs. The FDD specifies a fee of $175 per trainer per hour for the training, including initial training. Additionally, franchisees must pay for all travel, living, and incidental expenses incurred by themselves, their employees, and Counselor Realty's trainers in connection with the training. These expenses could range from $0 to $750 per person per day, depending on travel requirements.
Beyond the initial training, Counselor Realty also offers supplemental initial and ongoing training in various aspects of establishing and operating the business, also at the franchisee's request. This supplemental training is coordinated by Counselor Realty's Franchise Chairperson and may be conducted or assisted by other staff members. The length of supplemental training varies based on the subject matter and the franchisee's needs. As with initial training, franchisees are responsible for the $175 per trainer per hour fee and all associated travel and living expenses.
