11. FRANCHISOR'S ASSISTANCE, ADVERTISING, COMPUTER SYSTEMS AND TRAINING
Except as listed below, Counselor is not obligated to provide any assistance to you.
Before you open your Business, Counselor will provide you the services described below.
a. At your request, Counselor will provide you and up to two of your key personnel initial training. The amount of such initial training, if requested, will be as determined by Counselor, but will typically consist of the following:
Counselor will also advise you about proper display and maintenance of the Marks, procuring fixtures and initial inventories, and Counselor's business procedures. Franchise Agreement, Section 6.2.
- c. A copy of Counselor's Franchise Policy Guidelines will be available at Counselor's corporate office in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Counselor may change the Franchise Policy Guidelines from time to time. Franchise Agreement, Section 6.1. The table of contents of the current Counselor Franchise Policy Guidelines is set forth below.
The typical length of time between the signing of the Franchise Agreement and the opening of a franchisee's Business is approximately three to six months.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Counselor Realty's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Counselor Realty will provide certain services to franchisees before they open their business. Specifically, at the franchisee's request, Counselor Realty will provide initial training to the franchisee and up to two key personnel. The amount of training is determined by Counselor Realty, but typically includes certain elements.
Counselor Realty will also advise franchisees regarding the proper display and maintenance of their marks, how to procure fixtures and initial inventories, and Counselor Realty's business procedures. The FDD also states that a copy of Counselor Realty's Franchise Policy Guidelines will be available at their corporate office in Coon Rapids, Minnesota.
The typical length of time between signing the Franchise Agreement and opening the business is approximately three to six months. However, outside of the items listed, Counselor Realty is not obligated to provide any other assistance to the franchisee.
