What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Counselor Realty's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees and their employees are not compensated during training. The franchisee is responsible for covering the training fees, which amount to $175 per trainer per hour.
In addition to the hourly training fees, the franchisee must also cover all travel, living, and incidental expenses incurred by themselves, their employees, and Counselor Realty's trainers. These expenses could range from $0, if no travel is required, up to $750 per person per day, depending on factors such as the vendors selected.
This means that a Counselor Realty franchisee needs to budget not only for the direct training costs but also for all associated travel and daily expenses for both their team and the trainers. This is a fairly standard practice in the franchise industry, where the franchisee typically bears the cost of training and related expenses.
