What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Counselor Realty's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the monthly Website Fee does apply to Extension Offices. Franchisees must pay a monthly Website Fee of $75 for each office location, which includes both Additional Offices and Extension Offices. In addition to the base fee per location, there is an additional charge of $25 for each licensed agent who chooses to have an optional agent website provided by Counselor Realty. Therefore, the total Website Fee will be the sum of the base fee for each office plus the agent website fees.
For example, if a franchisee has an Extension Office and 10 agents who opt for the agent website, the total monthly Website Fee would be $325 ($75 for the office plus $25 multiplied by 10 agents). The FDD specifies that Counselor Realty has the discretion to increase the Website Fee during the term of the agreement. Franchisees will receive a monthly invoice for the Website Fee, which must be paid by the 20th day of the month.
This fee structure ensures that Counselor Realty franchisees contribute to the maintenance and operation of the company's website, which provides value to both the franchisees and their agents. The optional agent websites allow individual agents to enhance their online presence, while the base fee covers the cost of the office's webpage or subdomain. Prospective franchisees should factor these ongoing website fees into their financial projections, especially if they plan to operate multiple offices or have a large number of agents who may want individual websites.
