What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Counselor Realty's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, living expenses for training are not a fixed amount. The FDD states that franchisees must pay for all travel, living, and incidental expenses incurred by themselves, their employees, and Counselor Realty's trainers in connection with training. These expenses could range from $0 to $750 per person per day, depending on travel requirements and other factors. The exact amount of these fees and costs is unknown and may vary depending upon factors, such as third-party vendors selected.

This means a prospective Counselor Realty franchisee should be prepared for potentially significant and variable costs associated with training. The actual cost will depend on the location of the training, the number of people attending, and the duration of the training. The franchisee is also responsible for covering the expenses of Counselor Realty's trainers, which adds to the overall cost.

It is important for prospective franchisees to budget accordingly and to discuss these potential costs with Counselor Realty to get a better understanding of the likely expenses. They should also inquire about ways to minimize these costs, such as choosing training locations that are closer to their office or exploring options for more cost-effective accommodations. Understanding these variable costs is crucial for accurate financial planning when considering a Counselor Realty franchise.

In addition to living expenses, the franchisee must also pay a training fee of $175 per trainer per hour. This fee, combined with the variable travel and living expenses, can make the overall cost of training a significant investment for a new Counselor Realty franchisee.
