What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Counselor Realty's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, living expenses are not included in the training fees. In addition to the training fee of $175 per trainer per hour, franchisees must cover all travel, living, and incidental expenses for themselves, their employees, and Counselor Realty's trainers. These additional expenses could range from $0 to $750 per person per day, depending on travel distance and other factors. Franchisees and their employees will not be paid by Counselor Realty during training.
This means a prospective Counselor Realty franchisee needs to budget not only for the hourly training fees but also for potentially significant additional costs associated with travel, accommodation, and daily expenses. The FDD notes that the exact amount of these fees and costs are unknown and may vary depending upon factors, such as third-party vendors selected. This lack of a fixed cost makes it difficult to precisely forecast the total training expenses.
It is important for prospective franchisees to discuss these potential costs with Counselor Realty to understand the factors that influence the range of expenses. Understanding these costs will allow franchisees to plan their finances accordingly. It is also important to note that these expenses are in addition to the training fees, which are $175 per trainer per hour.
