What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Counselor Realty's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training fee is not explicitly based on a per-person rate. Instead, the franchisee must pay a fee of $175 per trainer per hour for training, including initial training. This fee covers the cost of the trainer's time, regardless of the number of people being trained. Counselor Realty offers initial training to the franchisee and up to two key personnel.
In addition to the hourly training fee, the franchisee is responsible for covering all travel, living, and incidental expenses incurred by both their employees and Counselor Realty's trainers during the training period. These expenses could range from $0 to $750 per person per day, depending on travel requirements and other factors. The exact amount of these fees and costs are unknown and may vary depending upon factors, such as third-party vendors selected.
This fee structure means that the cost of training will depend on the length of the training, the number of trainers required, and the travel expenses incurred. A franchisee sending two employees to a longer training session will likely incur higher costs due to the additional travel and living expenses, but the hourly training fee remains constant regardless of the number of attendees (up to the limit of two key personnel). It is important to note that training fees are non-refundable, and franchisees and their employees will not be paid by Counselor Realty during training.
