15. OBLIGATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTUAL OPERATION OF THE FRANCHISE BUSINESS

You or a Business manager you hire is required to participate personally in the day-to-day operations of the Business. Your hired manager (if any) is not required to hold an equity interest in the franchise. At your request, we may provide you and up to two of your key personnel initial training (the amount of such initial training shall be as determined by Counselor), and, upon your request, supplemental initial or ongoing training. See Items 6 and 11. You may not change ownership or control of the Franchise Agreement, the Office, any Additional Office, any Extension Office or Business, or a majority of the assets of the Office, any Additional Office, any Extension Office or Business, or, if you are an entity, ownership of a majority ownership interest of, or control of, you or any of your owners, in each case without our consent. 7.2 Best Efforts, Confidentiality and No Conflicts of Interest.

  • (a) You or your Business manager must furnish your personal full time and attention and best efforts to the management and operation of your Business.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Counselor Realty Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee or a business manager they hire must participate in the day-to-day operations of the business. If the franchisee chooses to hire a business manager, that manager is not required to hold an equity interest in the franchise.

Counselor Realty may provide initial training to the franchisee and up to two key personnel. Supplemental initial or ongoing training may also be available upon request. The amount of initial training will be determined by Counselor Realty.

The Franchise Agreement also states that the franchisee or their business manager must dedicate their full time and attention and best efforts to the management and operation of their Counselor Realty business.
