What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Counselor Realty's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay a training fee. This fee is dependent on the number of trainers and the hours of training provided. Specifically, the fee is $175 per trainer per hour. This fee applies to initial and supplemental training for the franchisee and their key personnel.
In addition to the hourly training fee, franchisees are also responsible for covering all travel, living, and incidental expenses incurred by themselves, their employees, and Counselor Realty's trainers during the training period. These expenses can range from $0 to $750 per person per day, depending on travel requirements and other factors. The FDD notes that the exact amount of these fees and costs are unknown and may vary depending upon factors, such as third-party vendors selected.
It is important to note that franchisees and their employees will not receive any compensation from Counselor Realty during the training period. This means franchisees must factor in lost income or wages for themselves and their staff when budgeting for training costs. The training fees and associated expenses are payable when billed by Counselor Realty.
