What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Counselor Realty's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, before paying any fees to Counselor Realty, a prospective franchisee must submit a confidential franchise application. This application must include all information required by Counselor Realty.
After submitting the application, Counselor Realty will review it. If Counselor Realty approves the application, the franchisee must open their office for business within 12 months from the date of the Franchise Agreement. This timeframe is subject to extension at Counselor Realty's discretion.
This initial step ensures that Counselor Realty gathers necessary information about potential franchisees before they invest any money into the franchise. It is a standard practice in franchising to have an application process to assess the suitability of candidates.
