What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cordova's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a qualified veteran who was honorably discharged from the United States Military must request the 10% discount off the initial franchise fee at the time of their initial franchise application. The standard initial franchise fee is $40,000 for a territory with a population of approximately 500,000 people.
To qualify for the veteran's discount, the applicant must provide documented military service. This discount applies only to the first Franchise Agreement and cannot be combined with any other discounts Cordova offers on the initial franchise fee.
It is common for franchise systems to offer discounts to veterans as a way to encourage them to become franchisees. The Cordova franchise requires the veteran to request the discount upfront during the application process, so it is important to make sure to do so to take advantage of the savings.
