What training must a Cordova Managing Owner complete?

Cordova Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

If this is your first Cordova Business, we will provide initial training for you or, if you are a Corporate Entity, your Managing Owner, plus one designated manager. Either you or your Managing Owner, plus your Operating Manager, must successfully complete the initial training program to our satisfaction not earlier than 30 days prior to the scheduled opening of your Cordova Business. The initial training program takes place over an approximate one week period.

The appointed Managing Owner must attend and successfully complete the Training Program within 60 days of the appointment.

The Franchise Agreement requires that you or, if you are a Corporate Entity, that your managing shareholder or partner be personally responsible for the daily management and supervision of the Franchised Business (the "Managing Owner"). We must approve your Managing Owner and your Managing Owner must dedicate his or her full time efforts to the management and operation of the Franchise. Your Managing Owner must have satisfactorily completed our initial training and must have obtained all required licenses and permits necessary to operate a Cordova Business within your Operating Territory.

After the opening of your Cordova Business, we reserve the right to require that you (or your Managing Owner if you are a Corporate Entity) attend a system-wide training program (the "System-Wide Training Program") that we may establish in our discretion. If we establish a System-Wide Training Program, the program will be offered from our affiliate owned Cordova Business in Omaha, Nebraska and you will be responsible for all travel and expenses, lodging, food, automobile rental expenses, and employee wages that you incur in connection with your attendance. We will not require your attendance at a System-Wide Training Program for more than a total of five days in any calendar year.

Our current training program is to be attended by you, or if you are a Corporate Entity, your Managing Owner and one Operating Manager at our training facility located in Omaha, Nebraska.
