What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the term 'Business No.' is not explicitly defined for Cordova franchisees. However, the FDD does define several related terms that provide context. The term 'Cordova Business' refers to any business owned or operated by Cordova, its affiliates, or its franchisees that utilize the Cordova system and licensed marks, including the Franchised Business. The 'Franchised Business' itself is defined as the Cordova Business that the franchisee develops, owns, and operates according to the Franchise Agreement. The franchisee operates this business from a 'Franchisee's Administrative Office'.
Given these definitions, while the FDD doesn't directly mention a 'Business No.,' it's reasonable to infer that each Cordova Business, including the Franchised Business, is likely assigned a unique identifier or number for internal tracking and management purposes. This number could be used to distinguish between different franchise locations, track performance, manage client information, or ensure compliance with the Cordova system. The 'Business Management System Data' definition includes client information, inventory, and sales information that is entered into the Business Management System utilized by the Franchisee.
Prospective franchisees should inquire with Cordova about the existence and purpose of a 'Business No.' or similar identifier. Understanding how Cordova tracks and manages individual franchise units is crucial for operational clarity and ensuring proper integration with the overall Cordova system. This information would help a franchisee understand how their business will be identified and managed within the Cordova network.
