What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Cordova's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if Cordova offers an annual conference, franchisees are required to attend. The conference location and dates are determined by Cordova. Franchisees are responsible for covering their own travel and lodging expenses to attend the conference. Cordova reserves the right to charge an annual conference fee, but it will not exceed $1,000 per attendee.

Cordova also reserves the right to charge the Annual Conference Attendance Fee to franchisees who do not attend the conference. Cordova will not require attendance at an annual conference for more than five days during any calendar year.

This means that as a Cordova franchisee, you must factor in the cost of attending the annual conference, including the potential conference fee of up to $1,000, plus travel and accommodation costs. Even if you choose not to attend, Cordova may still charge you the conference fee. Franchisees should inquire about the frequency and location of these conferences to better estimate the associated costs.
