What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Cordova's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, information regarding conferences and conventions can be found in Section 3.2.6 of the Cordova Operations Manual, as indicated in the table of contents. This section falls under the broader topic of the Franchise Onboarding Program, suggesting that these events are relevant to franchisee training and integration into the Cordova system.

Additionally, the FDD defines an "Annual System Conference" as a networking and general education event that Cordova may organize for its franchisees. Cordova determines whether the conference will occur in a particular year, including the dates, content, and location. The conference will not exceed three consecutive days per calendar year.

As a prospective franchisee, it's important to note that attendance at the Annual System Conference is at your own cost. The FDD states that the franchisee is responsible for all travel and attendance expenses. Furthermore, the FDD specifies that Cordova may charge an annual conference attendance fee, not exceeding $1,000 per attendee per year.

Therefore, a prospective franchisee should carefully review Section 3.2.6 of the Operations Manual for specific details on conference schedules, required attendance, and the content covered. Additionally, they should budget for potential attendance fees and travel expenses associated with these events.
