What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cordova's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Cordova will identify and locate the franchisee's Cordova Business on its website. Specifically, Cordova will designate information about the franchisee's Cordova Business on the www.cordovafranchising.com webpage, or on other websites that Cordova may designate for the system.
This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, as it helps customers find local franchisees and supports brand consistency. However, Cordova maintains control over all digital media and marketing, requiring franchisee pre-approval for any marketing efforts. Franchisees must also assign all website and digital media accounts to Cordova.
Prospective franchisees should note that while Cordova will list their business, they strictly control how franchisees can use websites and digital media. Franchisees are required to engage in local marketing, but all marketing efforts must be pre-approved by Cordova. This level of control is common to ensure brand consistency but may limit a franchisee's autonomy in their local marketing strategies.
