What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cordova's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must purchase all materials bearing the Licensed Marks directly from Cordova or its designated suppliers. These materials include items such as stationary, business cards, brochures, apparel, signs, and displays. All of these materials must meet Cordova's standards and specifications.
In addition to branded items, all marketing materials used by a Cordova franchisee must comply with Cordova's standards and specifications and receive approval before use. Franchisees can market their Cordova business through approved digital media and social media platforms, provided they adhere to Cordova's digital media and social media policies. All branded marketing materials must be purchased from Cordova or its designated exclusive supplier.
Cordova may require franchisees to exclusively use, at their own cost, a designated supplier for social and digital media marketing services, as well as specific social media platforms, vendors, and marketing channels. This means a franchisee might not be able to choose their own marketing service providers and platforms, potentially impacting their marketing strategies and costs. It is important for prospective franchisees to understand these requirements and associated costs, as they can affect the overall profitability and operational flexibility of the franchise.
