What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cordova's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee needs to send a replacement Operating Manager to the initial training program, they will incur a supplemental training fee. This fee is currently $500 per manager per day. The training takes place at designated facilities, primarily at Cordova's affiliate-owned business in Omaha, Nebraska, or at certified training locations that Cordova may designate in the future.
This means that a Cordova franchisee should budget for this potential expense if their Operating Manager leaves or needs to be replaced. The cost can add up quickly, as the initial training program typically lasts about one week. Franchisees should also factor in travel expenses and employee wages for the replacement manager during the training period, as these are not covered by the supplemental training fee.
It is important for prospective Cordova franchisees to consider the ongoing training requirements and associated costs, including supplemental training for replacement managers, when evaluating the overall financial investment in the franchise. Understanding these costs upfront can help franchisees better manage their expenses and ensure the smooth operation of their Cordova business.
