What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cordova's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Operating Manager is required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement as part of the training program.
Specifically, to qualify as an Operating Manager, the individual must meet Cordova's minimum training and brand quality control standards, successfully complete the Training Program, sign the Confidentiality Agreement, and agree in writing to assume responsibility for the on-site management and supervision of the Franchised Business. This ensures that the Operating Manager is bound to protect sensitive business information and uphold brand standards.
This requirement is significant for prospective franchisees as it highlights the importance Cordova places on protecting its confidential information and maintaining consistent brand standards across all franchise locations. Franchisees should ensure that their designated Operating Manager is willing to sign the Confidentiality Agreement and fully commit to the responsibilities of managing the business according to Cordova's standards. This also applies to Managing Owners, who must also attend and successfully complete the Training Program within 60 days of their appointment.
