What are Corcoran's 'Tech Resources' comprised of?
Corcoran Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
We and our Related Parties are constantly evolving and upgrading tools, platforms, systems and websites (collectively our "Tech Resources") and we expect our franchisees to provide the appropriate hardware, software and internet connectivity that allows the Tech Resources to be fully supported and utilized in your Office(s) over the term of your Franchise Agreement. We design our Tech Resources to work correctly with technology that is widely available, accessible and in broad use.
We will not provide maintenance for your computer hardware. It is recommended that you obtain a service agreement if repair and support are not covered under the warranty that accompanied the various components of your office infrastructure ("technology", "hardware" or other "software").
We have the right to periodically change our standards. While a computer with technology that is widely available, accessible and in broad use may be able to handle other software applications related to the operation of a Corcoran® office, we do not represent that the above computer specifications or widely available technology for which we base our Tech Resources on will be sufficient to run any additional software. Our standards are simply the minimum requirements to operate a Corcoran® office.
You must reasonably ensure that any technology you use in connection with the Business, has appropriate data security controls, including but not limited to the following: (i) authentication mechanisms designed so that they cannot be bypassed to gain unauthorized access to systems and implementation of multi-factor authentication (MFA) when applicable, (ii) commercially reasonable encryption of data in transit and atrest; (iii) password protection measures, such as protecting the form in which they are stored with strong and complex character classes and password length; and (iv) adhere to applicable data privacy and information security laws and any other security measures reasonable for our industry, such as system updates/patching.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Corcoran's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the brand is consistently evolving and upgrading its 'Tech Resources,' which include tools, platforms, systems, and websites. Corcoran expects franchisees to have the appropriate hardware, software, and internet connectivity to fully support and utilize these resources throughout the Franchise Agreement term.
Corcoran designs its Tech Resources to be compatible with widely available and accessible technology. However, Corcoran does not provide maintenance for franchisee-owned computer hardware, recommending franchisees obtain a service agreement for repair and support not covered under warranty. Corcoran retains the right to periodically change its technology standards.
While widely available technology may handle other software applications related to a Corcoran office, the brand does not guarantee that its minimum computer specifications or widely available technology will be sufficient for any additional software. Franchisees must also ensure that any technology used in connection with the business has appropriate data security controls, including authentication mechanisms, data encryption, password protection measures, and adherence to data privacy and information security laws.
