What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Corcoran's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Corcoran does not provide maintenance for franchisee's computer hardware. Instead, Corcoran recommends that franchisees obtain a service agreement if repair and support are not covered under the warranty that accompanied the various components of their office infrastructure. These components are referred to as "technology", "hardware" or other "software".

Corcoran requires franchisees to provide the appropriate hardware, software, and internet connectivity to fully support and utilize Corcoran's Tech Resources in their offices over the term of the Franchise Agreement. Corcoran designs its Tech Resources to work correctly with technology that is widely available, accessible, and in broad use.

Corcoran has the right to periodically change its standards for computer systems. While a computer with technology that is widely available may be able to handle other software applications related to the operation of a Corcoran office, Corcoran does not represent that the computer specifications or widely available technology will be sufficient to run any additional software. The standards provided are simply the minimum requirements to operate a Corcoran office.

Franchisees must ensure that any technology used in connection with the business has appropriate data security controls, including authentication mechanisms, encryption of data, and password protection measures. Franchisees must also adhere to applicable data privacy and information security laws and any other security measures reasonable for the industry, such as system updates and patching.
