What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Corcoran's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there is no cost for ongoing educational materials. However, if learning sessions are held at brand conferences or industry events, the franchisee is responsible for their own travel, lodging, and other expenses to attend the optional courses.
Corcoran may offer optional learning programs, courses, seminars, or conferences at designated times and places. Franchisees are responsible for the costs associated with attending these optional programs, such as travel and lodging. Corcoran also provides guidance on compliance with the System in the P&P Manual, bulletins, and other written materials, as well as consultations by telephone or in person. However, special assistance requested by the franchisee may incur fees.
This means that while Corcoran provides some educational resources at no cost, franchisees should budget for travel and accommodation expenses if they choose to attend optional learning sessions at conferences or industry events. Additionally, franchisees may need to pay for special assistance beyond the standard guidance provided by Corcoran.
Prospective franchisees should inquire about the frequency and location of these optional learning programs to better estimate potential costs. Understanding the scope of 'ongoing educational materials' provided at no cost versus those that require additional expenditure is crucial for financial planning.
