After you sign your Franchise Agreement, we will provide you, your Responsible Broker (or designee) with Orientation. (Franchise Agreement, Section 6.1.1.) The program is mandatory and must be completed to our satisfaction within 12 months after the Opening Date of your Main Office. Orientation is completed as part of your multi-week transition into the brand, and includes a customized learning plan, which may include mandatory attendance in our virtual Leadership Courses offered by Agent Studio® (topics are reflected in the table below). In the event we begin to offer an in-person Orientation, it will be held at or near our corporate office in Madison, New Jersey, or in one of the Corcoran offices located in New York City; however, we may offer a virtual option. You are not required to attend Orientation so long as one your Responsible Broker or a designee from your Office attends. We have the right to determine how often we offer Orientation, but in no event will we offer it less than once per year. The Orientation (excluding travel, lodging and other incidental expenses) will be provided free of charge to one attendee (as noted above). If you attend

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Corcoran's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, after signing the Franchise Agreement, Corcoran will provide the franchisee or their Responsible Broker (or designee) with Orientation. This program is mandatory and must be completed within 12 months after the Main Office's Opening Date. Orientation is part of a multi-week transition into the brand and includes a customized learning plan, potentially involving virtual Leadership Courses offered by Agent Studio®. While attendance is not required if the Responsible Broker or a designee attends, Corcoran states that they have the right to determine how often they offer Orientation, but in no event will it be offered less than once per year.
If Orientation is in-person, it will be held at or near Corcoran's corporate office in Madison, New Jersey, or in one of the Corcoran offices in New York City; however, a virtual option may be available. The Orientation itself is provided free of charge for one attendee, but if attending in person, there is a registration fee of $1,200 for each attendee, plus costs for travel, lodging, and meals (excluding those provided during Orientation). If acquiring an office through a transfer, the franchisee must cover all registration, travel, lodging, and meal expenses for their attendees.
This means that a prospective Corcoran franchisee must ensure that either they or their Responsible Broker (or a designee) attend the Orientation within the first year of operation. The franchisee should factor in the potential costs of attending the Orientation, including the registration fee and travel expenses if attending in person. It is also important to note that Corcoran reserves the right to change the frequency of the Orientation, provided it is offered at least once per year, giving Corcoran flexibility in scheduling and potentially requiring franchisees to plan accordingly.
