What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Cool Binz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training requirement is waived under specific circumstances related to renewal or additional franchise agreements. If a franchisee is renewing their term or being awarded an additional Cool Binz business, and their Managing Owner or Designated Manager has already attended the initial training, the requirement to attend again is waived. However, this waiver does not extend to the JumpStart online training modules and continuing training obligations, which must still be completed.

It's important to note that even if the initial training is waived, if the Managing Owner or Designated Manager chooses to attend the training again, Cool Binz will assess a training fee. This fee is currently $250 per person, per event, in addition to all travel and living expenses incurred during the training. This policy ensures that franchisees with experienced managers can focus on other aspects of their business while still staying current with required training modules.

This waiver policy benefits existing Cool Binz franchisees who are expanding their operations or renewing their agreements, as it reduces the burden of repeated initial training for experienced personnel. However, franchisees should carefully consider whether the Managing Owner or Designated Manager would benefit from attending the training again, weighing the potential benefits against the cost of the training fee and associated expenses. The JumpStart online modules and continuing obligations are still mandatory, ensuring all franchisees stay up-to-date with Cool Binz's operational standards.
