What is the purpose of the COOL BINZ Software?

We may develop "COOL BINZ Software", which will consist of software program(s) which you must use to maintain customer records, bid on jobs, create estimates and operate the COOL BINZ business system. Until we do, you are required to use our designated software for business management, which will be detailed in the Operations Manual, System Standards or otherwise in writing, unless we approve an alternate software supplier. You are also required to use our then-current designated accounting software, which is currently QuickBooks Online, which is subject to change. In addition, you are required to follow our specified chart of accounts. We have the right to change these requirements at our discretion.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cool Binz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the COOL BINZ Software is a suite of programs franchisees must use to operate their business. Specifically, the software is designed to maintain customer records, bid on jobs, and create estimates. Cool Binz may develop this software, but until they do, franchisees are required to use the franchisor's designated software for business management, as detailed in the Operations Manual, System Standards, or in writing, unless an alternate software supplier is approved. Franchisees must also use the then-current designated accounting software, which is currently QuickBooks Online, but is subject to change, and follow the specified chart of accounts. Cool Binz has the right to change these requirements at its discretion.
The COOL BINZ Software is part of the Required Software, which is Cool Binz's proprietary product, and the information collected from it is deemed confidential. Franchisees are responsible for all fees associated with the Required Software, including the COOL BINZ Software. Cool Binz retains the right to create additional proprietary software programs to be included as part of the Required Software, which franchisees must use.
Cool Binz may require franchisees to upgrade their computer hardware, software, and web-based applications at their own expense. While Cool Binz does not currently charge for software updates and upgrades, this policy could change. Although the cost of upgrades is not anticipated to exceed $5,000 annually, this amount is not guaranteed. Furthermore, Cool Binz can electronically connect with the franchisee's computer system to monitor or retrieve data, and all client and customer data is the property of Cool Binz.
