What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cool Binz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Managing Owner or Designated Manager must attend the Convention every year that it is scheduled. They also must attend periodic refresher training courses and conferences, but not more than one convention/conference per year. Cool Binz determines the times and locations of these events. Franchisees are responsible for all travel and living expenses incurred while attending these sessions, and some events may occur outside of the franchisee's home state.
The curriculum for online training and these events can include technical training, business plan analysis, marketing, profitability, and maximizing business opportunities. The cost to attend the Convention is a maximum of $799 per person, while Regional Meetings cost between $0 and $500 per person per event. Additional training also costs between $0 and $500 per person.
This means that franchisees should budget for annual travel and accommodation costs, plus registration fees, to attend at least one mandatory event per year. While Cool Binz cannot require attendance at more than one convention/conference annually, franchisees should be prepared for the possibility of additional training opportunities that could benefit their business. Staying current with these training opportunities ensures that franchisees remain updated on the latest strategies and standards within the Cool Binz system.
