How long does Cool Binz have to notify a franchisee of approval or disapproval of unapproved items or suppliers?
Cool_Binz Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
In the event you wish to purchase an unapproved item, including inventory, and/or acquire approved items from an unapproved supplier, you must provide us a written request for approval, including a proof of the materials you wish to order. We will notify you in writing of our approval or disapproval within ten (10) days of receipt of the materials and your written request. We have no obligation to approve any particular products, service or supplier. If you do not receive approval within ten (10) days, you should consider the materials disapproved. All products and materials must meet the quality of our current suppliers, and correctly bear the Marks. Standards and specifications are periodically modified to meet changing market conditions and are published in our Operations Manual and on our web site. You must reimburse us our reasonable costs, regardless of if we subsequently approve your request.
Use of products and materials that have not received our prior written approval and/or do not meet our standards and specifications can result in the termination of this Agreement. Standards and specifications are updated periodically at our sole determination and are made available to you on our COOL BINZ owners' intranet website and in the Operations Manual.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cool Binz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee wishes to purchase an unapproved item or acquire approved items from an unapproved supplier, they must submit a written request for approval, including proof of the materials they want to order. Cool Binz will then notify the franchisee in writing of their approval or disapproval within ten days of receiving the materials and the written request.
If the franchisee does not receive approval within this ten-day period, the materials should be considered disapproved. Cool Binz emphasizes that they are under no obligation to approve any particular products, services, or suppliers. Franchisees are also obligated to reimburse Cool Binz for reasonable costs incurred during the approval process, regardless of whether the request is ultimately approved.
The use of products and materials that have not received prior written approval or do not meet Cool Binz's standards and specifications can result in the termination of the Franchise Agreement. This highlights the importance of adhering to Cool Binz's standards and obtaining necessary approvals to avoid potential penalties, including termination of the franchise agreement.
