Are Cool Binz franchisees responsible for wages for their employees during initial training?
Cool_Binz Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Although we do not charge any additional fees for the Initial Training program for up to two people, you must pay wages due to your employees (if any) as well as travel, food and lodging expenses incurred by you and your employees during Initial Training.
The cost will depend on the distance you and your employees must travel and the type of accommodations you choose.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cool Binz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for covering the wages of their employees, if any, during the initial training program. While Cool Binz does not charge additional fees for the initial training program for up to two people, franchisees must also cover travel, food, and lodging expenses for themselves and their employees during this training period.
This means that a prospective Cool Binz franchisee needs to factor in not only their own travel and accommodation costs but also the wages and expenses for any employees they send to the initial training. These costs can vary significantly depending on the distance traveled and the type of accommodations chosen. The FDD includes a line item for "Pre-Opening Travel Expense to Training" with a low estimate of $1,000 and a high estimate of $3,000, but this appears to only cover expenses for up to two people and does not include wages.
Therefore, franchisees should carefully estimate these additional expenses based on their specific circumstances, including the number of employees attending the training and the location of the training facility. It is important to budget accordingly to avoid unexpected financial strain during the initial phase of the Cool Binz business setup.
