You must also spend a minimum of 10% of Gross Sales annually on local advertising until your fleet of Portable Equipment containers is at least 80% rented and then, at that point, you are required to spend at least 5% of Gross Sales annual on local advertising. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cool Binz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to use the franchisor's approved advertising and marketing materials. Alternatively, franchisees can seek written approval from Cool Binz for any other advertising and marketing materials before using them. All materials must adhere to Cool Binz's current standards and specifications.
Cool Binz mandates that franchisees spend a minimum of 10% of gross sales annually on local advertising until their fleet of portable equipment containers is at least 80% rented. After that threshold, the required spending decreases to at least 5% of gross sales annually. Certain items, like the franchisee's truck, must include a reference to the Cool Binz national toll-free number, which cannot be altered or removed.
While franchisees are not obligated to purchase advertising materials from Cool Binz, they may be required to buy them from approved or designated suppliers. Franchisees might also need to participate in local marketing programs, such as call centers or direct mail solicitations, at their own expense. Cool Binz retains the right to implement advertising cooperatives in the future, which franchisees would be required to participate in.
