What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cool Binz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to use the then-current designated accounting software. Currently, this software is QuickBooks Online, but Cool Binz retains the right to change the designated software. Franchisees must also follow Cool Binz's specified chart of accounts, which Cool Binz can also change at its discretion.
Cool Binz may also develop its own software called "COOL BINZ Software" for managing customer records, bidding on jobs, creating estimates, and operating the business. Franchisees may be required to use this software in the future. In addition to accounting software, Cool Binz has the right to specify the brands, types, makes, and models of communication, computer systems, and hardware that franchisees must use.
Cool Binz also has the right to access a franchisee's computer system to monitor or retrieve data. Franchisees must provide all access codes and IP addresses to facilitate this access within 30 days of opening their Cool Binz Business. All client and customer data is the property of Cool Binz, and any data not accessible upon termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement must be provided immediately.
