Does entering into a Cool Binz franchise agreement give the franchisee any options to purchase additional franchises?
Cool_Binz Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Entering into a franchise agreement does not give you any options to purchase additional franchises, rights of first refusal or any similar rights to obtain additional franchises.
Upon your request, we may, but are not obligated to, award you an additional COOL BINZ Business or an additional Territory, but any decision to do so will be in our sole discretion and judgment. At a minimum, to be considered for an additional Franchise you must be in compliance with your Franchise Agreement and have sufficient capital, and equipment to market and service both your Territory and the additional Territory.
If you are approved for an expansion territory, the Initial Package Fee may be waived for franchisees who qualify to expand; however, you need to pay the Initial Franchise Fee and sign a new Franchise Agreement, which may contain materially different economic terms than the initial Franchise Agreement you sign. You may not, without our prior written permission, solicit or
perform services for customers geographically located within the proposed Territory until you have purchased the Territory and signed a then current Franchise Agreement.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cool Binz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, entering into a franchise agreement does not automatically grant franchisees the option to purchase additional franchises, rights of first refusal, or similar rights. However, a franchisee can request an additional Cool Binz Business or territory, but Cool Binz is not obligated to approve the request. The decision to award an additional franchise or territory is at Cool Binz's sole discretion.
To be considered for an additional Cool Binz franchise, a franchisee must be in compliance with their existing Franchise Agreement and possess sufficient capital and equipment to effectively manage and service both their current territory and the additional territory. If approved for an expansion territory, Cool Binz may waive the Initial Package Fee, but the franchisee is still required to pay the Initial Franchise Fee and sign a new Franchise Agreement. This new agreement may contain different economic terms than the initial agreement.
Without prior written permission from Cool Binz, franchisees are prohibited from soliciting or performing services for customers located within the proposed new territory until they have officially purchased the territory and signed the current Franchise Agreement. This ensures that Cool Binz maintains control over territory allocation and service quality within its franchise system. This is a fairly typical approach in franchising, as franchisors usually want to ensure that existing franchisees are performing well and are financially stable before expanding their operations.
