We may develop "COOL BINZ Software", which will consist of software program(s) which you must use to maintain customer records, bid on jobs, create estimates and operate the COOL BINZ business system. Until we do, you are required to use our designated software for business management, which will be detailed in the Operations Manual, System Standards or otherwise in writing, unless we approve an alternate software supplier. You are also required to use our then-current designated accounting software, which is currently QuickBooks Online, which is subject to change. In addition, you are required to follow our specified chart of accounts. We have the right to change these requirements at our discretion.
We shall have the right to specify or require that certain brands, types, makes, and/or models of communications, computer systems, and hardware be used by you, including without limitation: (i) a compatible "back office" computer system that complies with our standards and specifications; (ii) a custom and proprietary point of sale system (the "POS System"), if we make
such a POS System part of our proprietary operating system in the future; (iii) printers and other peripheral hardware or devices; (iv) archival back-up systems; (v) Internet access mode and speed; and (vi) physical, electronic, and other security systems (collectively, the "Computer System"). Currently, your Computer System must include a DSL or cable modem high-speed Internet connection located at your Office Site, and a computer that meets the requirements of the System Standards and for handling of our then-current COOL BINZ Software or other Required Software. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cool Binz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the specifics of the designated software for business management that franchisees are required to use will be detailed in the Operations Manual, System Standards, or otherwise provided in writing by Cool Binz. Cool Binz may develop its own software called "COOL BINZ Software" for franchisees to use for customer records, job bidding, and estimate creation.
Until Cool Binz develops its proprietary software, franchisees must use the designated software for business management, unless an alternative software supplier is approved by Cool Binz. Franchisees are also required to use Cool Binz's designated accounting software, currently QuickBooks Online, and follow a specified chart of accounts. Cool Binz retains the right to change these software requirements at its discretion.
Cool Binz also has the right to specify the brands, types, makes, and models of communication, computer systems, and hardware that franchisees must use. This includes a compatible back-office computer system, a proprietary point-of-sale system (POS) if implemented, printers, archival back-up systems, internet access mode and speed, and security systems. The estimated cost for the computer system ranges from $3,000 to $5,000, with detailed specifications for hardware and internet connectivity outlined in Sections 2.H and 2.I of the Franchise Agreement.
