What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Cool Binz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Designated Manager is not required to have an ownership stake in the Cool Binz business. The franchisee must designate a Managing Owner who will be the primary contact with Cool Binz. However, Cool Binz may require the franchisee to designate a separate Designated Manager to be the primary contact for the business.

The Designated Manager, like the Managing Owner, must complete the JumpStart and Initial Training Programs. Both individuals are expected to dedicate their full-time efforts to managing and promoting the Cool Binz business. They are also restricted from engaging in any conflicting business activities without prior written permission from Cool Binz.

This arrangement provides flexibility for Cool Binz franchisees who may want to hire a manager without offering equity. It also ensures that regardless of ownership, the person in charge of day-to-day operations is properly trained and dedicated to the success of the Cool Binz business. The franchisee maintains the responsibility of ensuring either the Managing Owner or Designated Manager adheres to the standards set by Cool Binz.
